Erin Perre, BS
Equine Assisted Life Coach & Intern
Erin has been a lifelong horse lover and spends her free time riding the trails & dressage with her two horses, Gideon and Belle. She has worked as a professional in the equine industry since 2016 and has worked in places from carriage driving, to therapeutic horseback riding, to summer camps as a ranch manager, to owning her own horseback riding lesson business. She has been training at Skye Therapy since 2020.
Erin has her associates in Equine Science from Scottsdale Community College, Bachelor’s of Science in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Arizona State University, and is pursuing her Masters in Counseling. She is also a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship. She has experience working with special needs children. Her dream is to become a professional equine assisted counselor specializing in grief, first responders and Autism!
Coaching works well for clients with behavioral problems, ADHD, low self-esteem and anxiety. Horses are anxious creatures so when working with them the client learns how to manage their own anxiety. Erin has many years experience in working with anxious horses which has proven to help her in assisting clients with anxious behaviors. Anyone with significant mental health problems who needs therapy will be referred to a mental health counselor as coaching is not psychotherapy.
Sessions range from $130-175 for a session with Erin and her horses at her stable at 22807 S. Recker Rd. Gilbert, AZ 85298.
